Many of us are looking for a quick, easy method for shedding those excess pounds, and there are numerous diet pills that claim to do just that.</p>
<p>As herbal weight loss supplements can be purchased without a prescription, they are readily available to us all, and many of us think this is an ideal solution to resolve our weight issues. Most of us assume that taking something that is all natural to help promote weight loss is ideal and risk free, but there are various things regarding herbal diet pills which we may not be aware of.<a href="http://span1955.thedsp.hop.clickbank.net"><img class="alignright" src="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SmallButtonOrange.jpg" alt="herbal weight loss supplements " /></a></p>
<p>Just because something includes a natural ingredient does not mean that it is completely safe to consume. In fact, some herbal weight loss supplements may contain additives that can cause dangerous side effects.</p>
<p>Herbal weight loss supplements are not subjected to regulations by the Food and Drug Administration, which means they have not been subjected to sufficient tests or research to show that they are entirely safe to use. It is also possible that the manufacturer has added filler ingredients, or omitted certain ingredients from the labeling so that we do not know the entire make up of what we are taking. Some pills may not be good for our liver or kidneys. <p>Even though some pills may not be safe, it is also important to point out that not all herbal diet pills are bad. We cannot be sure that pills we buy right off the shelf without prescription will either produce results, or be 100% safe. If we have been recommended, or find herbal diet pills that we feel we would like to try, we should consider talking to our doctor before we take anything. This is as simple as it sounds; a compilation of recipes that focus on healthy menus to encourage weight loss that we can use every day.</p>
<p>If we start a weight loss recipe collection, we will have unlimited excellent selections of nourishing delicious meals, snacks, breads, desserts, soups and so much more.<br />
We can use several different formats for our recipe collection.</p>
<p>- A storage box with recipe index cards.</p>
<p>Many of us will remember our mothers or grandmothers having a plastic box filled with index cards which recorded favourite family recipes. We too could use this method to compile a collection of recipes that are nutritious and healthy. They can be divided into sections for meat, fish, vegetable dishes, soups, starters, main courses, snacks, and desserts. We can then easily browse through the recipes to find healthy, flavoursome, inspiring menus every day.<br />

We can source healthy recipes on line and simply add them to our browser favourites, or we can copy each one and save it as a document on the hard drive or our computer. It is even possible to download a healthy recipe app for our smart phone that allows us to search and source hundreds of healthy recipe options and save and store our favourites.</p>

Every day, or at least a few times every week, we should try at least one new recipe from our collection. <p>How to Commit to <strong>Weight Loss</strong></p>
<p>For many of us the most common challenges we face when embarking on a weight program is that we are afraid to fully commit to the task. We often struggle to stick with one <i>weight loss</i> plan and instead switch from one plan to another, never staying focused on one for long enough to achieve any results. We avoid committing to a specific workout regime, being sporadic with the types of exercises we perform, and how regularly we do them. We may regularly cheat, which significantly slows down our <u>weight loss</u> and progress.</p>
<p>Perhaps many of us can relate to this issue and are having problems committing to a <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com/fat-burning-furnace/how-to-commit-to-weight-loss">weight loss</a> plan and losing weight.</p>
<p>If so, it is important to get to the source of why we are so afraid and take steps to resolve and overcome the problem.</p>
<p>The first thing we should do is look at the reasons why we are resisting commitment.</p>
<p>If we take a sheet of paper and a pen, we should ask ourselves the questions below and think seriously about our answers:</p>
<p>Why are we so against the idea of committing to a <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com">weight loss</a> plan?</p>

<p>We may be surprised at some of the answers and excuses we come up with.</p>
<p>For example, we may be of the opinion that we will fail, so we cannot see the point in trying very hard. Or we may worry that we are afraid to lose weight because friends and family may see us differently and not like us when we are slim. Several strange fears, anxieties and beliefs may come to mind when we begin to ask ourselves such searching questions.</p>
<p>Once we have clarified where our behaviour and views stem from, we can simply begin to start working through these negative fears and anxieties that are holding us back and halting our progress.</p>
<p>Now, if we are afraid of other people not liking us once we are slim, we should keep reminding ourselves that we will not have changed when we have lost weight. We will always be the person we were, but better, slimmer, and healthier. If we are concerned and worried that we may fail again, even if this has happened in the past, we should keep telling ourselves that we will only fail if we give up and this time it will not be an option.</p>
<p>In next to no time at all, we will gradually allay our doubts, fears and anxieties and automatically become more committed to our weight loss and work towards our weight loss goals with ease.<br />

<p>Perhaps we overindulged over the Thanksgiving period, and now with the December festivities approaching, we are probably concerned about repeating our previous mistakes and then suffering the consequences come January.</p>
<p>We can allay these concerns by controlling our weight prior to the start of all the parties and festivities. One of the best ways to deal with this issue is to employ a pre-holiday <i>diet</i>.</p>
<p>A pre-holiday <u>diet</u> involves maintaining a healthy <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com/fat-burning-furnace/how-to-keep-on-track-by-using-a-pre-holiday-diet">diet</a> and weight loss plan that begins 2 or 3 weeks before the holiday gatherings and parties begin.</p>
<p>An effective pre-holiday <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com">diet</a> will consist of plenty of nutritious, delicious, low-calorie foods, in conjunction with a daily physical activity program.</p>
<p>These are the main points to consider:</p>
<p>- Eat Nutritious Foods.</p>
<p>We cannot achieve success by simply reducing our calorie intake on a pre-holiday diet because if we cut our calorie intake too much we will slow down our metabolism which will make us lose very little weight, if any at all. Rather than focusing our attention on calorie reduction, we should focus on eating plenty of nutritious foods that are naturally low in calories.<br />

<p>Another important part of a pre-holiday diet is ridding our body of toxins by drinking lots of water. Being dehydrated can give us a bloated, puffy appearance and it can also slow down our weight loss as well as making us feel fatigued and sluggish. If we drink plenty of water on our pre-holiday diet we will soon realise how much better we feel and how much better we look.</p>
<p>- Fat burning.</p>
<p>Finally, there are various foods, beverages, and activities that are known to speed up the fat burning mechanism in our body. The most effective include grapefruit, lemons, chilli peppers, ginger, and green tea. We also need to employ a daily exercise regime, or increase the amount of physical activities we perform each day. We do not have to over do these things every little helps no matter how small the changes and increases.</p>
<p>Over a few weeks using a pre-holiday diet like this will help us to easily lose 5, 10, or even as much as 15 pounds. We will be pleasantly surprised how healthy and well we feel when the holiday festivities begin, and we will be relaxed and confident enough to enjoy the holidays without stressing about our diet and wellbeing.</p>

<p>How to Resolve a Messed Up Diet</p>
<p>Most of us have been in the situation where we have been successfully maintaining a healthy eating plan when suddenly all our hard work is put at risk when we make one, or several stupid choices.</p>
<p>Perhaps we lapsed and ate something that was extremely high in calories, we gave up on our exercise program during the holiday period, or perhaps we are so fed up with eating boring salads and vegetables we binge on everything in sight.</p>
<p>No matter what prompted us to mess up our diet, it is not too late to get back onto the right track. However, we should not attempt to force ourselves into getting back on the right road straight away. There must have been a reason why we went off track to begin with, and until we can identify what that is, it is a good idea to take a day or two to get to the source of the problem.</p>
<p>We should begin by asking ourselves these questions:</p>
<p>&#8220;In what way did we mess up?&#8221;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>We may be aware of how we messed up, but we need to clarify exactly why what we did was so bad. We may acknowledge that we really messed up, or we may realize that we are overreacting and we did not mess up as much as we feared.<br />

<p>This question is a little more difficult because we may genuinely be unaware of what caused us lose focus. We need to do our best to figure out where we went wrong because we may end up with the same scenario again if we cannot resolve the problem.</p>
<p>&#8220;What benefits did we gain from messing up?&#8221;</p>
<p>If we cannot identify the cause for messing up, we should ask ourselves what we gained from messing up. Obviously, we must have felt that we would gain something from letting our diet lapse, but what was it? Why did we think it was more important to us that sticking to our <strong>diet plan</strong>?</p>
<p>&#8220;Does the problem stem from the <i>diet plan</i>, or is the problem ourselves?&#8221;</p>
<p>This is an important question because we may have come to the conclusion that we are not ideally suited to the particular <u>diet plan</u> we have chosen. If this is the case, we should consider looking for a <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com/fat-burning-furnace/how-to-resolve-a-messed-up-diet">diet plan</a> that is more acceptable for keeping us firmly on track. If we have come to the decision that the problem is ourselves personally, the next question needs consideration.</p>
<p>&#8220;What prompted us to sabotage our hard work?&#8221;</p>
<p>Asking ourselves this question can give us a foundation to help resolve and overcome issues that have been holding back our progress and help us to move forward with our weight loss.</p>
<p>&#8220;Where do we go from here?&#8221;</p>
<p>After answering all of the other questions, the time has come to make a fresh start, either by following the same <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com">diet plan</a>, or changing to an entirely different one. The major difference will be that we are more aware of any issues which can mess up our diet and we will have the commitment and focus to achieve our weight loss goals. Once we have resolved the issues which have been holding us back, we will find it much easier to stick with our chosen diet plan from now on.<br />

<p>How to Reduce Food Intake and Not Feel Deprived</p>
<p>Even if we make minimal changes to our lifestyle habits, we can easily lose weight by simply reducing our food intake. However, eating less can result in us feeling deprived and hungry if we are accustomed to eating more. Drastically reducing our food intake quickly may also lead to feelings of deprivation and hunger too.</p>
<p>Below are some simple tips for helping to reduce food intake without feeling deprived:</p>
<p>- Thinner Slices.</p>
<p>Some of us would normally slice ourselves large, thick slices of chicken, turkey, ham, beef, or pork. If this is the case, we can dramatically reduce our portion sizes by slicing them thinner. When we are buying meat at the deli counter, we should ask them to slice it very thinly, or if we are slicing it ourselves we should us a sharp knife so we can easily slice the meat wafer thin. We can then eat the normal amount of slices, but our intake will be much less because the slices are at least half the portion size we would normally eat.</p>
<p>- Change to a smaller serving spoon.</p>
<p>Most regular serving spoons measure 1/4 to 1/2 cup portion of food, which is acceptable for vegetables and low calorie foods, but this may be too much for more fattening foods. To avoid this, we should serve ourselves with either a tablespoon or teaspoon. Obviously we will be able to see that our portion size is smaller than normal and it may take a while to adapt to the smaller serving size, but over time we will eventually get used to it.<br />

<p>Rather than using a large size dinner plate for our meals, we should change to a smaller plate such as a salad or dessert plate. If we have normally been used to a large plate, this may seem a little inadequate in relation to the quantities we usually eat, but if we consider the size of our stomach, this volume of food is sufficient to satisfy us without making us feel over full.</p>
<p>- Change to a smaller glass or cup.</p>
<p>If we normally drink wine, soda, or sweetened tea or coffee with our meals, reducing the size of the glass or cup we drink from will reduce our calorie intake. A small glass can hold approximately 4 ounces of liquid, and depending on the type of beverage, can add an additional 50-150 calories to our meal. We can resolve this issue if we can get into the habit of simply drinking water with our meals and snacks.</p>
<p>- Make gradual changes.</p>
<p>For some of us, making drastic changes immediately may be challenging, so we could try gradually reducing our portion size over time. We could start by cutting down on certain foods, or get into the habit of leaving a little food on our plate at each meal rather than completely eating everything. It is usually our mind that is craving food, not necessarily our stomach. We will find these gradual changes becoming easier and more acceptable as the days and weeks go by and we progress towards our weight loss goals.<br />

There are various ways we can do this, including writing down our worries and reading through them to get them into perspective before throwing them away, or creating a diary into which we can symbolically pour out our worries and concerns. To resolve this we need to do our best to slow down our pace each and every day. We should slow down the pace at which we walk, breathe deeply, rest more, and keep reminding ourselves that our duties, tasks and commitments will get done in plenty of time so there is no pressure to rush things. <p>Some beverages can have a relaxing calming effect on our body and mind. One such example is herbal teas. We can pamper ourselves with a relaxing aromatherapy massage, or add a few drops of lavender oil to a handkerchief and carry it around in our pocket or handbag. <p>How to Improve a Boring, Bland <strong>Diet</strong></p>
<p>Some of us, when we decide to <a href="http://span1955.fitmummy.hop.clickbank.net">lose weight </a>select the most unappealing <i>diet</i> plan we can find. Perhaps this is because the plan has been recommend by someone that has achieved success with it themselves, or we may have lost weight on the plan ourselves before.  </p>
<p>However, if the selection of foods is tasteless, boring and bland, our chances of success could be minimal.</p>
<p>We will be pleased to know that <u>diet</u> plans need not be boring or bland to prove effective. A tasty, delicious, nutritious <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com/fat-burning-furnace/how-to-improve-a-boring-bland-diet-2">diet</a> plan will be much more effective than a boring plan, simply because we will be more inclined to continue with a flavoursome plan for much longer.</p>
<p>So, how do we improve a boring, bland <a href="http://tipstoburnstomachfat.com">diet</a>?</p>
<p>We need to add some flavour.</p>
<p>We can achieve this by adding a little spice and interest to an existing diet plan, or we can create a whole new healthy eating plan that contains lots of delicious, tasty, nutritious foods in each meal or snack.<br />

Here are some examples of flavours we could try;</p>
<p>Sweet – We can add a little fruit or honey to a dish to enhance and intensify the flavours. There is also a selection of flavoursome herbs that can add sweetness and extra flavour to a dish. These include basil, rosemary, sage, chamomile, and saffron.</p>
<p>Salt – By merely adding a pinch of salt, it can bring out and enhance the flavours of foods, but we must use sparingly as too much sodium in our diet can have an adverse affect on our <a href="http://span1955.fitmummy.hop.clickbank.net">weight loss</a>.</p>
<p>Spice – The addition of hot and spicy ingredients like Tabasco, chilli peppers, or mustard can make boring dishes more interesting and appealing.  </p>
<p>Sour – Lemon juice and vinegar can make a boring salad or fish dish much more appetizing and delicious. It can make them more refreshing and awaken our taste buds to the exciting, tantalizing flavours. </p>
<p>Bitter – Many of us avoid bitter flavours, but there are many degrees of bitterness. For example, kale, cabbage, and spinach are considered to be bitter foods, but they cannot be classed as unbearably bitter. A combination of bitter and sweet foods can make a flavoursome marriage. </p>
<p>Savoury – If we love a meaty flavour, we can use a little beef stock or jus to drizzle over cabbage, spinach, bean sprouts, cauliflower, asparagus, or noodles to add flavour and richness.</p>
<p>Flavour is actually the foundation for a delicious, flavoursome, enjoyable diet plan that we will be able to maintain forever. We simply need to be creative, imaginative, and not be afraid to experiment with new and innovative flavour combinations to make our diet enjoyable and sustainable.</p>
